Exclamation new PSS9 kit for sale on UK ebay

Thought some of you UK listers may be interested in this.

pss9 ebay item

One word of warning for those fairly new to ebay: this guy has shades on, and no bidding history. This may not be a problem, but it does mean from past experience that you need to be wary of handing over money or your address without confirming they actually have the parts to sell (I normally ask for a photo of the items with the date of that days news paper showing).

Also, it is best ot leave the bidding to close to the end of the auction, else you simply push the price up early on.

Good luck !

Cheers,
John.

I also saw these books on ebay that may be a steal. they are older editions, but Bruce Anderson's book, and Paul Frere's books are like bibles when it comes to 911 information. Just thought it may be of interest to some of the UK rennlisters...max http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1132&item=3501569515&rd=1

As I said, it is always best to get confirmation that it is not an attempt to simply part a buyer from their money (mail the seller before bidding).

Many dodgy sales have 'library' pics of the items.
Of course it could simply be that he bought the kit then sold his car before fitting it and so now has it spare...

I could tell you loads of stories about my attempts to buy goods via ebay, and all of the attempts to get me to send money first. I once had a seller supposedly in France suddenly announce he was in Japan, and had taken the goods with him. When I suggested a good friend in Tokyo would pick the goods up for me he announced he was now in Spain. Yeah right...

Offering to pick the stuff up in person is always a good suggestion, and often frightens off any unreal sales.

Cheers,
John.

Good spotting John! Would that kit work on a turbo? I am seriously considering buying the turbo PSS9 kit with RS sways from Gert...

Cheers,
Rob

Re books - collectible !?!* New revised editions are available at Amazon amongst many other sources. if you don't want the added chapters, a fiver is OK, + post.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, there are different PSS9 for NA and TT 993 according to Bilstein ..

993 NA : G484 E13*95/54*0001*
993 TT : H003 E13*93/81*0003*

But no differences listed in spring or shocker ??

And, re the seller, why sell in UK if you're in Greece ????

Who knows - cheers, Maurice

I'd also suggest that if it gets up to around the 1k mark, you'd be better off just buying direct from Gert anyway, as at least then you have gert's infamous help & support.

Cheers,
John.

I though you guys were too busy bombing Iraq, and have never thought that you would have time for this kind of stuff...

The item is 100% genuine and this sale has nothing to do with Gert (to whom I spoke this afternoon and he is indeed a fantastic person to speak to).

The shades are there because (as very correctly pointed out by John W.) I have never bought or sold any items through ebay, in the past.

For those of you who have already bid on the item, I wish you Best of Luck.
I think that it’s a fantastic value for money deal!

For those of you who are hesitant to bid, you still have a few days to think about it.

And finally, for those of you who rush into conclusions without knowing the full story (otherwise known as ‘throwing mud’ in the UK), I am happy to announce that I will include a FREE SHOVEL with the suspension kit.
I am sure that this will help you to practice your favorite sport ! !

Regards to all.

Hello Charles

Someone from LA, asked me the same question.
The airport-to-airport service for sending the kit to LA is about 150 USDs and I should think that it would be more or less the same for Ohio.
If I send it by DHL to your doorstep, it will probably be double the price.

Regards

I would be careful of the current PSS9's. I have had them for more than a year now. I understand they are coming out with a new PSS9 package that handles all the install issues as well as some minor improvements. Just bolts in with issue!

Could be why the PSS9 prices have dropped so significantly....but ya just never know now do we!

I'm sure you will sell them. Mind if I ask how you came by them ??
By the way, I didn't rush to conclusions, just didn't want to be held responsible should the sale have been a bad one. I'm sure you can understand my point.
I was simply trying to help out any interested parties on here find their way to your stuff.

Anyway, I'm glad that you came on over to here to introduce yourself and explain the shades.

All the best,
John.

Hello John

No problems with your comments John whatsoever.
You have most certainly chosen your words very carefully, but some other members have put some insulting comments without knowing the full story.
Anyway, for me this matter is closed.

I have decided not to fit them on my car, because it is for sale, and the suspension kit:
A) May not be to the buyers taste
B) Will not really add value on the car

Even if I don't sell the car in the end, I will be going back to Greece in a few months time and if I take the car with me, it will be a nightmare to drive the car with this kind of suspension on the terrible Greek roads (you can ask geortarga….J).

A hard suspension combined with the bad asphalt = a lot of squeaks!
The car is a C2 convertible so there may also be a matter of rigidity here (although it sounds a bit extreme).

I am happy to provide a copy of receipt of purchase to the person who wins it, if req.

Regards to all.

Well, when the time comes to sell the car, there would be no harm in posting the info on here. There is a 'for sale' section, so slap it in there, and then post a link in the 993 forum to it.

You never know, you just may find your buyer through this site

All the best,
John.
