Which is faster - TT or 360 Modena?
I had an eventful weekend. Went to Reno to visit family and was able to drive my brother's Modena. It had the F1 transmission which are the paddle shifters with no clutch. When you take off from a standing start you just give it throttle and it sounds and feels like someone is letting the clutch out. As you upshift you do not let off the gas, just hit the paddle on the right and it makes a very quick shift. When you downshift you hit the paddle on the left and it will downshift with a little blip of the throttle. I took it up to 8,000 RPM a few times and the engine sounded very much like a Formula 1 car. Beautiful sound.
A few weeks ago I drove Old Guy's TT and it seemed like it was setting me back in the seat a little harder than the Ferrari. The Porsche seemed like it had a little faster acceleration, but in both cars I only went up to about 85 mph so I cannot compare above that. I have not seen any numbers or comparisons between the 2 cars so I am wondering which one has the edge. The Ferrari definitely has the edge in feel and sound.

I saw a video of one and a 996TT in a 1/4 race. Suposed to be all stock. The TT left it behind pretty well. If I recall correctly, it pulled away pretty hard after the poiler popped up or 74 miles per hour.

Doug H,
The rear spoiler on the 993TT is fixed... it doesn't pop-up. The intercooler takes up all the room that a pop-up spoiler needs. Isn't it the same on the 996TT?

Max
He didn't care. He was taking the picture and I told him to make sure he got the hat in the shot. He also has a 996 so he is a Porsche guy too.

My wife and kids had the hat made up somewhere to match my car.

Max, you are the master of PS, and quick, too. I don't think Rand has noticed yet.
