Yet another seeming HWFM rules violation
One of our own went and won a race recently.
But that's ok.
He's already legendary due to his bunny-eradication efforts - what turtle wouldn't like that.
Yes, he is lightning fast in his car.
But he also has a lightning quick wit. All which makes him perfect for HWFMR.
But what's more, the guys he beat were SCCA National drivers, who have been known to belittle us PCA racers cause of what they call the pansy 13/13 rule.
So Kudos to our own 993 board's Sunday Driver.
here's the emblem he can carry with pride on his racecar.

He'll have to win in a very funny, incident plagued, hailstorm with 28 other drivers filing protests.
then he can stay on the team.
OR
A good team is like a family. And every family has a Black Sheep.
If Mark wins the Runnoffs, he will be our family's Black Sheep.
OR
He can let each of us drove his car.
then he can stay on the team.

Let's clarify. SCCA has the same 13/13 rule - if you don't hit someone in 13 laps, you are on double secret probation. Rule was not well known so SCCA is making an effort to clarify what the club is all about.

seems to me that is how to get disqualified from attending the Runoffs once you've qualified.
Does SCCA have a sense of humor?

I checked with HQ. They attempted to find a policy on sense of humor. Unfortunately, SCCA HQ could not find a sense of humor. They have now sent it to committee to see if they can find a sense of humor and were unable to locate it.
When I explained where this question came from, they checked on Rennlist, excluding HWFMR as they are a competing racing group (don't ask). They found no evidence of a sense of humor outside of HWFMR.
They moved on to PCA club racing who not only stated they do not have the sense of humor, they insisted there is no such thing as a sense of humor there.
They asked the DE foks, but they were too busy arguing about passing rules to be bothered.
VARA was surveyed next, but the members were too busy deciding if they should race or go bowling.

Perhaps if enough letters of protest were filed with those various sanctioning bodies, they would be moved to adopt senses of humor, after serious discussion of course.
Also, did you purposely leave out NASCAR?

I did try NASCAR. They don't have any sense.

I checked local rules here. If one wins with a sense of humor, especially one which leads to excessive laughter, an air restrictor is placed on the helmet to limit the amount of laughter in future events. They didn't say anything about nitrous as a laughter inducer, however, which is an oversight being addressed as we speak.
