Socal 993 owners, watch out!
If you take your car to Rusnak westlake, it will be ME messing with your pride and joy!
Well, I have resisted posting anything about this for the past couple months because I didn't want to say anything until i have an official start date. I went through a long process of many interviews, questions, etc. I am to be Rusnak Westlake Porsche's new Technician apprentice. I'm going to be certified through them. first step in my career plans. (PM me if you want to know the plans, something about a business, modding, Porsche... hmm)
I start on Monday, full time, at $10.00 dollars an hour. (who tells a forum what hes getting paid, seriously)
I have to take a "physical" which I'm sure is a nice way of saying drug test, which is fine, since I'll pass, and I have to pass a background check, which i will, because I have no history.
Anyway, I'm truely excited, as this is a big step, and involves working on and with Porsche's.

What a perfect job for a Porsche junkie! Congratulations and good luck. Will you be trained under Michael Schatz? It would be hard to find a better mentor (unless perhaps Viperbob?). I would swing by to say hello, but it always costs me money. Might do it anyway. See ya'

Good for you.
And hopefully, you can parts at cost.
(My first summer job in college was for an Alfa, MB, BMW, Rover dealer, with authorized Lambo and Maserati service - it was a different era. Loved Alfas then, but went to work for a Porsche, MB, Toyota dealer the next summer cause it was closer to home. I know you're gonna have a ball.)

Congrats! After you are certified, would you be up for conducting a tech session? I'm sure you could get 1/2 the Rennlisters in SoCal there!
