Default Specs for lowered cab top position ?

Walking up to my cab this weekend, I felt as though the completely lowered top looked a little high. I believe I can adjust the microswitch position, but is there a spec for this or a comparison that someone can help me with?

I don’t have a cover to see if it will fit and usually drive it around like this, when the temp is not 106 like it was in the 5th!

Default Top position

Looks pretty normal to me, my top closes about the same.

yours looks slightly high to me, but I am sure there is a range of tolerance. Here's mine:

Looks like this is part of the problem:

The elastic straps that pull and help fold the top properly when opening fail from age. This is also where the locating pins will push through the top material if not corrected.
Open the top about halfway or so, stop, and manually fold the top in to avoid that bunching up, then continue opening.
Best of luck,
Darell

interesting - thanks @Dplus I doubt that the bunching is keeping it from lowering but if that bunching is a symptom of the elastic being shot - I will certainly replace.

I know I'm late to the party, but here's a pic of my top lowered for comparison.

That's how it should look. My top is in manual mode so I can fold it like that when lowering; my elastic straps are shot.
The OP is running the risk of pushing those locating pins through his top.

BTW, the silver with that top color looks great!

I'm partial to it as well! Issue is the stitching has come undone on the window and it is on its last legs. Finding that color is going to be a challenge. About to start a thread hoping someone has repaired the stitching while the top is on.

Now I wonder if my top should lower further as well. Mine is definitely not as flush as some of the photos shown here (love the red top btw!).

Thanks. Wife loved the combo when we saw it. The top and interior are sharp, but very tough to source when you need replacement.
