Viola
I saw the car a couple of weeks ago at a Huricane Region PCA concours. Bob Ingram and his family also had their 89 Turbo,
their Red 959
Blue 94 3.6 turbo
red 94 3.6 flat nose turbo,
a 97 TT
this Viola color car
A newer GT3 I think, speed yellow
their 1959 GT CARRERA! WOW!
A 89 Speedster,
A 72 Carrara
A 57 Speedster
I'm forgetting, but I have pics ofa all the cars. His collection is awesome and he shoulf get his Carrera GT this summer.
Nice people, nice cars. I would galdly own any of their Porsches.

Three Wheelin'
Nice 993, but that photoshop blur on the surrounding area is making me queasy... I can't focus on the car.. it causes more focus on the background setting instead of trying to filter it out.. (a good example of how not to go overboard with photoshop)

If you knew about lenses and photography you woud know this was taken with a large f number to deliberately throw the background out of focus.... its got sod all to do with photoshop.

Stevo, are you just trying to take some of the heat off Calvo ??
my take on the picture in question?? photoshop alteration.
i will list my knowledge of cameras/lenses and photoshop at slightly above "sod-all", and close to "just enough to be dangerous" LOL
here is my analysis of what tips me off that it was a photoshop hack, not a photographer using mentioned technique:
now, before jumping to conclusions and spouting off. (which seems to be a more common occurance lately on some of the web boards i visit)... I decided to visit the website of the owner of the car mentioned in the first post. the ingram collection. i thought that by looking at some of their other photos, i'd be able to tell if they were photoshop altering some of their pictures, or they had an ace cameraman on the payroll.
I am sure you will agree that the following photo shows that someone IS playing around with Pshop there, and my hunch (and Coleman's observation) of the above picture, is in fact accurate.
Anyhow, everyone - PLEASE keep posting pictures of 993s... the critics be damned!! . i always like looking at old and new 911s in some of the more 'off-beat' colors. (colours )
cheers,
max
