Hey, thanks for the info and the pic (however it might have been shot/modified). IMHO This is easily one of the greatest 911's produced. It has the personality of an air-cooled, the surge of a turbo, the rarity of an "S" designation, and the technology and creature comforts of a late-90's Porsche.
Glad to see it and hear about it... *right-click, save-as*

You guys probably know this, but that S Turbo was the same type of car
Porsche loaned Vasek Polak on his last visit to the factory. He took off in it, never wearing seat belts (as was his custom) and ran it into the guardrail on the autobahn at a very high rate of speed. He eventualy died from his injuries but not until his plane landed on the ground in the U.S. for a refuling stop. Sad ending to a fascinating Porsche historical figure.

Ray Calvo is a rude member of Rennlist. Thank goodness the majority of the members are civil and helpful.

Hi Delanobe,

Cool car though I'm not sure about the colour... Thanks for sharing.

Mr Calvo - not a very helpful or nice post. If you are not interested then just close the post and move on. Posts like your just make people look like idiots.

Cheers,

David

I was lucky enough to see that car in person two years ago at Tweeks in Effingham, IN. They had it in their small museum right by the front entrance. Lighting was not the best so you couldn't get a real feel of the color. But it was awsome. It has grey sport seats with painted seat backs too. Lots of CF inside!!!! I did not realize at the time that this was the only one in that color!!!! Truely awsome!!!!

I'd have to say it's real.. and that is only based on the fact that there is thermal refraction form the engine causing some distortion on the background (this would be easy to re-create, but I doubt that somebody would add this detail) .. the fact that there is such an even blur to the background is throwing me off, this must be cuased to the fact that I think it rises quickly, versus sprawling outwards into a plane and getting more blurred and colors washing out..

Coleman.
