Default Seller's Remorse

I have it bad.

I just agreed to sell my baby. What was I thinking? I should have bought a TT first, to make sure it was better. Please, someone tell me that I did not make a mistake. Its only a handshake so far, so I guess I could weasel out, but I'd really hate to do that.

Two choices then-either back off or go get a TT-

Isn't life simple??????????

Al

PS-When I sold my 944 I went into a prolonged funk to the point my wife told me to go and get a Porsche for the garage so that I would be livable again.

Default Me too...

I sold my 80SC Weissach Coupe Time Trial car. My wife said I was pain to be around without a P-car. She insisted I buy a 993 car..I agreed, and now I am still a pain to live with, BUT, I have a P-car again.

To weasel out of the deal would not be honorable.

Your search and ultimate acquisition of a TT will be priceless. You did not make a mistake. The TT is better in many ways.

Default seller's funk

On that sunny saturday in March, 1994 I was holding a large cashier's check in my hand as I watched my 1989 Blk/Blk Targa pull out of my driveway on the way to its new home in Chicago. I ran into the house and yelled at my wife for letting me do something so stupid. On the following Monday she took me to the local Porsche dealer for psychotherapy to order my '95 993 for factory delivery. I recovered after a rough weekend.

freeman, you are a fortunate man. I had to tell my wife, if I didn't buy the car I would lose most of my money in the stock market. Turns out, I did both. Shoulda got a tt while I was at it.

I've got a pit in my stomach - the buyer is picking up the car in two hours. I have to say this is by far the fastest sale of a car I have ever been involved in and its a bit disconcerting. Thanks for the stories and encouragement. I guess P-car withdrawal is not unusual.

The only good news is my wife and kids are really pissed off at me. My wife said I had better not take as long buying a replacement car as I took getting this one. I guess you could say I'm a motivated buyer, but I wouldn't want that to get around.

Any current TT owners should be disqualified from commenting due to a conflict of interest.

Enjoy your soon-to-be-new-to-you TT!

I used to always say that the only way I'd part with my 993 is if it were to be replaced with a 993 TT...

I feel your pain but rejoice in your future 993!

I love my 993 and after the 15 years it took for me to save up for it, I doubt I'll sell it.... Ironic how the 993 means more to me than the Boxster S I also have which I was able to get with some really lucky "before internet crash" fast made cash (even trade after I bought an SC430 on a whim 2 years earlier with same said winnings so-to-speak).. ... In hindsight, I really should have paid off a huge chunck of my mortgage.. oh well... at least I'm having fun driving!

I have to admit I had to go back a take a look at what you were talking about. I didn't get that far up the picture the first time.

100K sounds like a fair deal to me, but my wife doesn't like all the options on that car.
