Thumbs up

Thanks for the thorough list.

This saves me from trekking up to Sears (Infinion sp???))and paying at their pumps.

I am planning to do some baseline chassis dyno runs and want to try a fuel blend.

This is a question more about curiousity than necessity. Well, that's not entirely true...there are times when I have to get to the golf course extremely quickly to make a tee time.

What is the best way to find locations for higher octane fuels and/or racing fuels? I live in Indianapolis, IN and would like to see where I might be able to buy these fuels locally.

Great info, Kim! I just used that link to find a 76 station with 100 oct. less than a mile from where I work!!

Now, some questions: since it is close, can I run 100 oct. all the time?? Are there any downsides, especially since I won't be tracking my car? Is there any problems with switching back and forth between 100 oct and 91 oct?

Interesting addition to the meagre list of Union 76 gas stations listed on their site. Went to the only one I know of today in San Jose on Almaden Expressway at Foxworthy. a 2::1 mix of "91" and "100" gets a nice "94".
Ahh, it feels better already, and only $4 a gallon too.

Wink

yeah I know of a 76 by my house in Yorba Linda that offers the 100 octane.

I am sure its leaded gasoline. Is there any potential of damage to the catalytic perverter?

Thanks,

Chris

Can a difference in power/acceleration really be felt with the 100 octane on a stock 993 NA car?

Is it worth the extra $$$ I am curious to try it out.

Mark:

The 76 station at the foot of PV (in the village) sells 100 unleaded, 114 (leaded) and I believe 120 (leaded), but I may be wrong. It might be 107 and 114. Either way, the top two are leaded and are race gas.
