I've been using the Ryobi inflator for over 8 years now to service 4 cars and several bikes and it's been working flawlessly. Was an easy choice as I have other Ryobi tools and multiple 18v batteries - just wait for the Home Depot specials where you can buy one tool and get another free along with batteries and charger. I know Ryobi is not as solidly built (or as expensive) as Milwaukee or Dewalt, but given that I'm just a weekend warrior type, they've been pretty reliable and meet my needs. ymmv

the hand-held, battery ones are the best choice but are we not missing the larger point?

maybe forget the air compressor and work on moving away from a place that you're scared of getting mugged for just going to the gas station?

But I think the others above are equally right. Any number of great choices on the market these days.

I already have DeWalt 18VDC batteries and chargers. Does this tool utilize 18 or 20volt batteries?

This 20 volt compressor is NOT compatible with older Dewalt 18 volt batteries.

Thank you!! I also have Milwaukee M18 tools and batteries. I saw this on Amazon.https://a.co/d/fgafQvt for $138.00. Jeff Bezos can use the money to pay for his fiancee's 2.5 million dollar engagement ring.
Milwaukee M18 Inflator 2848-21. Looks like it works with my existing M18 batteries

I like the Viair myself but seriously, afraid of getting mugged at the gas station? Move for your own safety and sanity.
I've lived all my life in NYC, some of the best areas and some sketchy areas and never worried about getting mugged at a gas station.

So Antigravity will throw its hat in the ring....

Our MICRO-START XP-15 Tire inflator is also a Jump Starter and is a Powerbank capable of charging your phones, Tablets and Laptop... and it has PD 60w USB type Charging that can power you Laptops also if they use TYPE C.

Yes it more expensive but if you want a do-it-all unit and not to have to carry a few units this is a very cool option. Also we are having a massive 30% off sale during the Black Friday week.

You may be interested in this Milwaukee Tire inflator compatible with M-18 batteries that I bought tonight for $49.50!! (Please see the link). The inflator excludes the charger and M-18 batteries. I already have the chargers and batteries from other Milwaukee tools.
In addition, I bought a plug into the lighter type tire inflator. I bought different types for different purposes.

Thanks for posting this. That’s a deal, and I’m a Milwaukee guy. Is this a secure vendor that you’ve used before? They don’t take PayPal. Thank you I’m advance, and have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Foxman,
I'm glad that you posted. You might want to hold off. The full amount was taken from my account. The email confirmation provides a Canadian phone number and my bank identifies the business registered in Hong Kong. The confirmation does not identify a shipping date. There are several additional red flags. In the interim, I closed my debit card. I will wait a few weeks and we'll see if I receive the order. If I don't receive the order, I'll dispute the purchase with my bank.
I am so sorry to everyone on this site. I acted in good faith posting the item, the selling price and the link. This is the first time anything like this happened.
I hope this information helps.

It looks like Ace Hardware has the DeWalt unit on sale for $99 right now. I may have to pick one up.

Hi BobbyP,
Didn't know they still have gas stations in New York City, go figure.

I have plenty of Milwaukee M18 batteries and chargers that work with Milwaukee's 2848-20 tire inflator.
