Okay, ostracize and ridicule me.. I like Meguiars Hi Tech Wax and Nu-Finish (synthetic) wax.. I also like the Wax Shoppe liquid stuff.. Carnuba for me is just too transient.. It's gone in a week.. the California sun just evaporates it...

Here is a pic from today with Nu-Finish synthetic wax buffed on and had wiped off. This wax was selected as best in tests by Consumer Reports.. (not that that qualifies it or anything..)

I love Nu-Finish. I get the same type of results on my car. Sometimes easy is good, eh?

Delanobe, please keep us up to date with the result of the use of your new product. Can't wait to see those pics.
Like you said; it's very difficult to get decent products.
Btw, you could wash the car with warm (not hot) water & detergent (dishwashing liquid ) to get rid of the old wax.

I personally like Meguiar's products. My car is still not as bright as I would like but it is due to paint neglect by the PO. Mechanically, though it is perfect and did 150 kms of high power track time yesterday.

75 liters of Shell VMax 100 octane

Coleman.
No ridicule from me for going synthetic. Black finish + very hot climate = no durability at all. Synthetics waxes or various sealants are the way to go under these conditions unless you like to reapply wax every week or so.

Use what works for you. Personally I find the Hi Tech Wax a good product but I find it a little more difficult to remove compared to some others available on the market. NuFinish is inexpensive and easy to get but I have never gotten good durability from it.

My personal favorites...Glanz Wax (synthetic) by Einszett. Great look and very durable. Also Zaino. Very durable, great slickness, however a little finicky in its application and hides absolutely no flaws which can be frustating on a black car.

Preparation of the surface is the key to any great looking final product. I really like the Eienszett polishes. Very easy to use. However they do contain some oils and fillers so they are not ideal before the application of something like Zaino.

A good polish to consider that works wonders, albeit you have to use a polisher to make it effective, is Menzerna. I heard about it on Autopia and am glad I did. Made in Germany so it should be easily found over there.

Hi,

I bought it on internet last friday.

Here's the link

http://www.meguiars.com/europe/Deale...opedealers.cfm

I finished today with the whole process ( +/- 6 hours)

An unbelievable effect!!!!!

Wet look, deep shiny look.

Glad you like their products. No association etc...

I use it on 3 of my 4 cars. The old Bimmer gets Turtle and to be honest, I am not sure it is a lesser product than Meguiars.. just costs less.

On the other hand, NuFinish is good and I have used it in the past.

Ciao
