Taco Temple is not able to accomodate our gathering
BUT...

I have spoken with a good friend who has an upscale resturant and catering business and she can put together a German themed BBQ to include Wild Boar Brautwurst, Whisky Fennel Sausage, Lamb and Rosemary Sausage with all the trimmings.
This would be $20 a head and would include a nice keg of beer..it would be at an outside park off the beaten track in our county or possibly Lopez Lake.

Another alternative could be having a BBQ at a local Vineyard.
I have made some contacts with vineyards and the cost per person would be in the same range.

Or..another idea is to have it at a resturant in Morro Bay on the water front.

So...Let me know.

Also..is there a formal head-count yet?

Brian, very kind of you to arrange this. German BBQ sounds yummy, and $20 is only about $10 more than some of us have paid for valet parking we didn't want. Or the vineyard, whatever presents the better photo op. Go for it.

Thanks for looking after us! Very appreciated. As I recall, Lake Lopez is pretty far south of Morro Bay. I think a restaurant or that BBQ in Morro Bay would be perfect, but hell, we're all coming to drive, so a little extra driving is a bonus.

My rough guess at this point is 30 to 40 cars, but I have to admit, the Norcal guys are being pretty quiet (perhaps they're planning a surprise attack?). ViperBob... are you still coordinating the Norcal group? Whatcha got?

Hey Princton you will be here kinda...I am the one that bought your 993 seats

OK...I need a firm head count.

I think that it sould be safe to "ASSUME" there will be between 40-50 people that will be at our first gathering.
So.. unless I hear otherwise I am booking the German Style BBQ with that number.
I will be paying out of my own pocket for this so I will need everyone to bring a $20 for me.
I am still trying to decide on the best location and by Monday will have it booked also.
Any other questions or concerns people can call me if they want otherwise I will check back over the weekend.

Can you get a head count out of the "sticky" thread "rumble headcount"? Somebody was trying to tally the cars, but many cars will have two persons. I would hate to see you go negative on the lunch.

Thanks for taking the lead on this! To get a better feel of how many will show up, I'd check the sticky regarding who is coming and do a search under spouses to see the thread that mentioned who was bringing a spouse.

Me and my daughter, Melissa, will be there for the BBQ lunch in the RUF BTR (love BBQs). Need address of the lunch place.

We will go home on Saturday, as we will be in Utah, Arizona, and Nevada the previous week. Are there any plans for Saturady dinner at this point?

As a fellow NorCal enthusiast , I plan to be there, but now that things have moved to Lake Lopez, how does this tie-in with Cambria? Will we meet at Lake Lopez on Saturday, then spend the night in Cambria, or somewhere closer, ie Pismo beach/SLO?
