Post Sparco bottom mount brackets

I am trying to find some information on seat brackets for bottom mount Sparco seats. I am ready to get a pair of Milanos but want to make sure the brackets can be bought or manufactured before I pull the trigger...Thanks

Although their website doesnt list 993's, I am sure they have them. You should call Sparco directly or a store that sells sparco seats.

Sparco has been spoken to about this..I think the big issue is the seatbelt bracket, I hear there is a problem with the seat the the bracket..Any opinion or truth to this?

It may depend on what seat you are installing. I just had my Evo II seats installed using steel Sparco side brackets (Not bottom mounts) and Sparco adjustable sliders. You may want to consider this installation approach.

My installing shop in San Diego did not need the Sparco seat base, a savings of $120 @$60 a side for the base. They were able to remove the stock in-board seat belt receptacles and remount them to the the Sparco side mounts. They reported that the steel in the side mount was more rugged than what was originally found on the 993 seat. I feel I now have the best of both worlds, 5 point belts for the track, and stock belts for the street.

Martin the only problem is that I want to install the Milanos which is a bottom bracket seat. I would love to side mount them and do exactly what you did but this is not an option....

I just put a sparco roadster in my 993 a few weeks ago. Comfort level is really good. They are one piece so the backs do not adjust, but I used the side mounts so the rake and height can be set. I used sparco base adapters that came with a tab for stock seat belts, adjustable sliders and aluminum side mount brackets. Some creative engineering was required.

Overall comfort is great and they are easier to get in and out of than racing buckets. Overall lateral support is close to racing seats, but I think they are not as structurally stiff as EVOs.

Eam, I'm also interested in your install. I was considering either Torinos or Milanos, but I sat in an installed one and it did not buy me any headroom--my main motivation for changing seats in the first place.

The website I looked at claimed that Roadsters were only bottom mount, but I think that would not provide me any headroom ie w/ Sparcos I think I need side mounts, like you've done on yours. Ideally I want sliders as well. Do you have any pictures you could post? Also, could you confirm that you're sitting lower now?

Martin S.: with the Evo II's, I'm concerned that the left 'wing' will interfere with the correct, safe placement of the stock seat belt. Is this indeed a problem?

The guy from sparco who i spoke with said the bracket for the 993 is around
$60 retail and will have a tab on it to attach your seatbelt hardware.
He also tells me that the torino and milano would be too wide to fit
your car but since other people say they have done it i will haveto
believe them!

I say $60 retail because that is not what you would pay, I give 10% off for rennlisters

The Milanos and Torinos will fit..you just have to get creative. I know the mircro-adjust (on one side or both) have to be taken off in order for there to be sufficient clearance. I went to a shop and sat in quite a few of the Sparco seats, as well as Momo, and OMP. I was very disappointed with the black Alcantara on the Milano seat. It is not black by any means..it is more of a charcoal grey...I think the seat I was most impressed with was the Roadster, it isn't very expensive, quite comfortable, and the seat cover is washable and replaceable...I think this might be the way to go...

Yea he said you will haveto remove the adjusting hardware on the inside of the seat to make it fit.
