I stopped by TruSpeed about 12-15 mos ago to take a look at a black TT they had. Spoke to the owners and they seemed like pretty straight shooter.

You may want to PM Mark in Hermosa...I believe he bought a white C2S from them about a year ago.

I can't, but you can go to p-car.com where they have a VIN listing that will tell you at least if the VIN falls in the appropriate range for 96 coupes.

Mark in Hermosa's screen name is..."Mark in Hermosa". Try a search under his screen name or under "white C2S". He had a green cab in addition to the white C2S but I think he sold both and got a track car.

BTW asking others to run a Carfax is a big no-no around here....the moderator will spank you in due course

Good luck with your search!

LOL, thanks. Not sure why, but I was hesitant asking..... it just didn't seem as informal here as over on Pelican.

I'm still researching. From the vin it looks like it should be a c4 but the pics show black calipers. Quite a discrepancy for a place dealing w/ Porsches. I'll go look for someone w/ a Red Book.

Did an autocheck on it. Shows up as 1996 Carrera 4.

Last registered a year ago in FL with approx. 40k miles.

Hope this helps.

PM me if you want. I have nothing but good things to say about Rob and Brack. I would buy my next p-car from them in a second. No affliation, etc. They have been working with me in finding the right TT for a while now.

Give Rob a call and tell him what you are interested in (condition, etc). He will tell you if it fits the bill. If you are still unsure and want someone to take a look for you, just ask.

Good luck.

PS, Carrera 4 didn't get Big Reds. Carrera 4S did. I assume that is what you are talking about with respect to the calipers.

Thanks for the replies guys. Really appreciate the help. As for the calipers... weren't the c4 calipers silver? The listing shows them black... if anybody ever repaints them, it's usually red...

Correct. Stock C4 calipers were silver.

It is a '96 Coupe. If you look carefully, you'll see that this car also has the 3rd brake light above the rear window. As such, my guess is that one previous owner added the basket handle light to it.
