Yes, I did install LED lights everywhere. I have the Bergvill FX LED smart ballast. My CC was working after the LED installation.
A little backstory: When I first bought my 993, I had a PPI done. During the inspection, it was identified that the CC did not work. So I drove home to San Diego. I tried the CC multiple times and it wouldn't work. And then out of nowhere, it started working again. It would do this throughout the course of my ownership. It would work sometime, and sometimes it wouldn't. I tried messing around with the brake and clutch pedals to see if it was an issue with them not returning to their original position. Earlier this year I was driving on the HWY and I engaged the CC and it worked. I got off the exit and immediately got back on the HWY heading in the opposite direction. When I tried my CC, it didn't work and it hasn't worked since.

You have a 95, so the switch is not needed to start the car but is needed for cruise control disengagement via the clutch pedal.
I'd say you have a faulty switch based on your description. Amidst that sequence you would have pressed the clutch pedal, triggering the micro switch and then something with the contact/connection is flakey, causing cruise control to not engage because it thinks the clutch pedal is still being pressed.

What may be confusing things is that the PET catalog only shows one microswitch - the one mounted at the base of the clutch pedal (P/N 993-613-415-00). This is used in all MY's
to disengage cruise control. 97's and 98's added a second clutch switch, NOT SHOWN IN PET, to interlock the starter (via RY61).
In the picture it looks different than the other one, but no idea what the P/N is. Strange. One more reason to bypass it......
