The front FSD struts shafts are are threaded with 2 locking rings - the height can be manually adjusted.

Default Porsche Classic Green's installed ..

CT Mike -
What coil spring set was used with your successful Porsche Classic Green damper installation? .. The OEM N. America original spring set, OEM M033 spring set, or other?

My USA '98 C2S had the RoW M033 springs coupled with the stock dampers installed way back in 2000. .Here we are 22 years and 75K miles later and it's time for new dampers. . Likely going to follow suit with the Classic Greens from what little feedback is heard.

IIRC the M033 spring was the standard fitment to the RoW 1997 & 1998 Carrera S cars. This provided a 10mm lower ride height than that of an RoW Carrera. .

I'm after recommendations for replacements - I'm guessing the OEM part (twice as expensive as aftermarket, and probably just badged) isn't necessary.
I'm not after anything complicated or adjustable, just reliable and affordable - would love some suggestions.

For example, is this is sensible replacement: https://www.design911.co.uk/fu/pt385...Koni-standard/
(I'm based in the UK)
If in the UK, then contact Centre Gravity. They have worked with Bilstein and released a revalved B6 (std ride height) and B8 ( for shorter springs). These guys know their 993 suspension and its competitively priced.
Will be having it fitted to mine in the new year.

We used the stock springs to keep ride at original height. My goal with this car is to keep things stock. Even though I think the cars with a lowered stance look great, and on previous 911’s I’ve stiffened the suspension considerably I found, as I got older, the stiffer ride got fatiguing on backroad drives for ice cream and sightseeing. My car is a narrow body c2. If you’re near Mystic Connecticut and the weather stays nice you’re welcome to check it out.

I used the OEM M033 spring set with the Porsche Classic Green shocks. No harshness whatsoever. Overall way more controlled than the US ride height + Monroe’s. The M033 is merely lower than the US springs, with the same spring rate. I’d be surprised if anyone felt the M033s were harsh compared to US OEM springs.
