HWFM Racing Spy report and request for advice from teammates
I've had a very disturbing dispatch from Texas and am seeking the advice of my fellow teammates on how to handle this.
Our own team hero and Creative Director is down in Texas with that lightweight rocket ship he has built.
That is fine, but alledgedly he is behaving in a very non-HWFMR manner.
Here is the dispatch I received: (I will protect the operative's identity)
"I have bad news. Not sure quite how to break this.
Princeton turned up today for a DE event - FINALLY. Even wore his team hat. The instructors all gathered off to the side & anxiously surveyed his GT2 lookalike - I didn't help matters any by insisting that it was a home-built turbo. "You mean that's a GREEN student's car!?! Oh, my god..." I kept hearing.
Now, keep in mind that it was raining cats & dogs. The apex of T14 had a turtle pond bigger than I've ever seen. You would expect our Creative Director with the GT2-look, no-turbo car to go out & do us proud.
But no. Not even one spin. His instructor said he was an great driver & an excellent student for never having turned a wheel at an autocross or DE. If he keeps this up, he's at risk of - gasp - being promoted a run group before the weekend's out.
Big Turtle, I think you're going to have to do something. Probation, a warning, make him take off the hat - something!"
Yes, this is quite disturbing. And it is likely true as our field operative Robert (oops-did I say that?) is quite reliable. I am so shocked and appalled, I'm at a loss as to how to proceed.
Teammates, I seek your counsel.

Princeton must be punished for this blatent disregard of the basic tennents of turtledom. Lets see... I have a shotgun and a shovel... no wait... he buys a round of beers for all of HWFM Racing. Yeah. That's it. Plus a good hard paddling from JoAnne. Perfect. He must learn the way of the true believer before its too late.
< shhh... nice going Princeton... shhh>

Hmmmmmmmm..........
Well I guess I might as well be the one to finish off the report.
I completed the last session passing I think 6 members of the group.
(no spinning )
Ended the day with the Mike (great instructor) telling me he would have bumped me to Blue if it weren't for "tradition" to keep students in Green for at least a full weekend.
I'm happy with my main straightaway speed for now since it was pretty much equal to what he was showing me in the demo ride I took in his 951 during the White run group. I think I'll try to push it a little higher next time out.
It was an awesome weekend and I'm definitely looking forward to the next event.... Heres a cool pic that I like.
I guess I better prepare for the consequences...............Please go easy on me guys

I say double secret probation is definitely in order. If not now, when? It'll be too late when he's looking down at us from some podium and sprinkling that there french bubbly stuff on our hats.

Hmmm......I'll work on the website more slowly to make up for it ???...??..?....
Other than that I think I'll have to give Dan a call before saying any more.

Geez, if you're not going to slow down at least remember to lift in the turns, will ya? I find that's the most consistent way to get a good apex-clipping spin going.

Hey Princeton, glad you had fun. You must have really been pushing it, your run group sticker looks white.
Was Michael Wingfield your instructor (red 951)?
Going to the June LSR DE (or anyone else)?

I dont know how to express my emotions... my thoughts come in to slow, I´m embarassed. If that happened here in Turtlepore that behaviour had consequences... SERIOUS consequences.... tsk tsk tsk...
