The color is a kind of mahogany, I drove a metallic black targa with chestnut brown when I was looking for my car. What a beautiful combination. It's probably my favorite color interior. The car I drove was not *quite* as red as Anir's (BARELY)... it had more of a reddish brown hue to it. On the other hand, Anir's interior is in much better shape than that car's, so it may have faded a bit. I forget his name, but there is someone on here with a beautiful white on chestnut cab. IMO, it wouldn't look good with Polar Silver. Arctic Silver, white, black, and met. black are probably the main colors you will find it in. I think it would look good on midnight blue, but I'm probably the only one.

It looks great with Polar Silver. Stevarino has it with White in his cab. Looks good too. The color changes from a bright Red to a dark brown based on the light.
I did not know if I would like it when I bought the car, but I figured I would get used to it. It has grown on me. It is definitely unique!!
As for the years, I do not know, but mine is a 1996. PM me if you would like some pics. I can send them tonight.

Rob, your PM box was full. Anyway here is the answer to your PM.
The Chesnut Brown is only brown in certain light. All other times it is a burgundy. The reason I chose it, is the car was what I wanted for the price I wanted to pay and the interior color was a bonus?!?
Here are the pics.

I think it would look great with Polar Silver (very few interior colors that wouldn't look great with PS...)

I was wrong, your car looks really nice, Randy. I just really like that color. The lipstick red is over the top, but I like chestnut. The car I drove still didn't seem to be quite as red as yours for some reason.

I have seen Randy's and Stevarino's cars...both quite unique color combinations!!
Steve's has the black steering wheel, Randy's chestnut.
Steve's is full (and i mean everything) leather. IIRC, Randy's is partial leather.
I know everyone's monitor is a little different. On mine, which I think I have set up fairly accurately, a couple of Randy's pictures looked a little too red...a little too blue-red to be more specific. I did a little color correction and came up with the picture below:
The lower pic is the one i altered. On my monitor, it appears to be a little more accurate.
And while I was playing around, I tried Nephrite Green !!
Just in case you were wondering Randy

That looks plain red to me...maybe cordovan as a stretch.
Whatever the correct color or name is, it looks pretty sharp with silver, and white too.
Of course, my opinion isn't worth much, I like these cars so much all the colors look good to me....
