C2S or Stock Lid - Which looks better?
Hi,
I trying to remove my turbo tail (techart)
from my 96 C4S and put a stock one back on.
I know it sounds dumb, but I really don't
like the tail. I been pondering to go with
the spit dual C2S or the standard one. Why
did the C4S not come with the split grill?
I can find both types for around $500-$600 from used parts dealers so cost is not an issue.
Any votes or thoughts on this issue? I'll
post a tally at the end for fund.

P.S. Last appeal for anyone having one for sell.
Private message me.

Hi Sid,
I rarely perform cosmetic "upgrades" on my 964 C2--I even still have the Design 90 wheels! But, a C2S style split grille that would fit my car? Now, that I would love to have.
Agree with you on the fixed spoiler. I bought an '84 Carrera with a Carrera spoiler. The whole time I owned the car, I would look at that big spoiler and wish it wasn't there. Don't know what I was thinking when I bought the car with the spoiler, as I already knew I preferred 911s sans spoiler.
Anyway, personal tastes, of course. And, as Silver Bullet has pointed out, if you buy a Turbo, the spoiler is obligatory.

I put the split grille on my C4S in Polar Silver, it looks much better than the black hole it replaced. Makes the back of the car look wider and more finished. Bought it from Gert, came in a few days, had it painted and installed in about 10 minutes. Had to also replace the dam, no big deal. You won't regret it.

Sid, I have a narrow body 95 and I plan to put a C2S grill on it in the near future. I agree with you about the look. You can order one from Gert for around $325 plus shipping. Please let me know if you do go ahead and order one as to the cost of painting and ease of installation as I still have to "sell it" to my wife that it makes sense to spend $500-600 for a different grill.
