Exclamation Rear Toe IN Dilema :(

o.k. I've read all sorts of info on what the rear toe should be set on the 993.

...so in the end, I am even more confused!

What I'd like to know is:

What should my rear toe in setting be for primary track use WITH having to drive to/from the track approximately 100 miles each way to the track on MPSCs.

Also, does it make a difference on a factory 95 vs. 96 993 considering that the 95 had some differences in the rear suspension.

Once again, Thanks in advance everyone!

Unhappy ???

52 browses and not one response

...anyone know if a 95 (with different rear suspension components) should have a different toe in in rear than 96 and up?

Toe out in the front just a wink. Toe in in the rear @ 2mm should work well and be forgiving enrout to the track.

I can give you my toe settings when I get home...I don't offhand recall...I'm thinking fronts are 0 deg though...or pretty near that...
thanks! That would be much appreciated!!!

....sounds like your specs are exactly what we need also!!!

as I have been playing with toe's recently, I now have the rear at 10 minutes toe-in, about 5 minutes toe-in at the front. Car drives on the street nicely, not really nervous at all..

These settings did help me with reducing exit understeer with street tires. I honestly didnt feel that much difference with turn-in..

I run 2-3mm toe in in the rear and about half of that in the front.
Tried to run it with a bit of toe out in the front and it just didn't feel stable, you don't even want to know how it felt when it had 4-5mm toe out in the front...

How in the world did you manage to get -2.7 in the back of your 993?

We can't get more than -1.5 in back

mono-***** in front will allow -2.7 or even -3 easily enough but what about the back?????

1.5 is the max rear camber that you will be able to get stock. In order to get more just grind out the subframe eccentric for the upper most control arm.
