Default Rear Seat Preferences

OK - I have a question for the crew.

Do you:

- Prefer your rear seats up as-if a small child could climb in and use them at any moment?
- Prefer to fold them down so there is an (almost) useful parcel shelf?
- Remove the fold down rear seats and the seat belts to save weight?
- Do a full rear seat removal - RS style?

If you fold them down do you have a cover on them - cocomat or otherwise?

I've done at least 3 of these at some point, but I'm not exactly sure what the cool kids are doing.

What's your preference and why?

I like it as is. Seats. It's just cool and functional. I like the look and the fact that is was built for functionality. Makes the car so cool. A cool little 2+2.

I have it folded down with a Porsche embroidered mat on it. It came with the car. Probably should remove it as it just adds weight.

My wife rode in the back once and was not impressed with the amount of room she had

Since I swapped out the original back seats for black to match the HB's, I start out with them up but with the first hard stop they fall down to the parcel position, so option 1 and 2 albeit involuntary, lol. One of these days I'll fix the lock mechanism's or revert back to the originals and recover the HB's to match.

Well at least you can't blame the former owner for messing up the rear seats since they were swapped out! I'd like see the HBs!!!

Hi, this is too deep a subject for me, I am concerned that I may offend someone with my opinion. However, Mom always told me to put the seat down and besides my standard poodle likes the seat down to stretch out in the back when Mariana has displaced him as riding shotgun in the front seat.
So there you have it,
Andy

At least poodles don't shed much, and if there is any it's the right color!

Do you use a seat cover back there?

Hi Mike,
He has a black blanket for the back shelf of the car that I take out and wash on occasion.

mine are always down, when my kids were little we could use them. Nice thing about being a family of short people is that it was fine for a family of 4 until my kids got to be teenagers

My smallest child (4'9") won't even sit in the back, so I leave mine down and just use as a shelf.
