I just saw the message and I am shocked. I had the pleasure to meet Rudy once when he picked up some wheels that I had up for sale. He was such a nice person and he will be missed. RIP.

Default Rudy

Rudy was such an awesome guy. As I look back and re-read some of our exchanges, it reminds me of how upbeat and positive he was - always! When I would send him a note, I couldn’t wait for his reply - just such a nice person.

RIP Rudy, you are missed.

Almost certainly not. Rudy had the vision to plan for something like this unfortunate event, already teed up.
Two pics below. Picture of our shop after Rudy moved into his own place. (Rudy didn't fit in, he could not have eaten off the floor there!) I will try and find a picture of the shop when he was in there, all 3 of us - Peter, Rudy, and me, with his 5 or 6 cars. The deal was he would have space for 6, he promised he would stop. Rudy lasted 3 months there as his "6 Max" 993 collection grew to about 18 in short order so he moved out into his own museum.
Riviera Blue Cab is in my garage since I bought it from him in 2012, right after it was "Rudyfied", when he found the "nextgottahaveit coupe". This car was a bare metal repaint, complete with a CD Rom of the whole process. He bought it out of Tennessee I believe. Some of you may know the car.
Rudy's passing is sad on so many levels and a great loss to the P-car community. Blessed to have known him. Not many people get to talk Porsche, eat carnitas while listening to a mariachi band, while looking at his/our cars.

If I think hard, I suppose I remember him saying: "Then she said, why do you need more than one Porsche"!

The "First" garage. Rudy in the back, Peter Baldouf on the left, me on the right.

One of the "Rudyfied" 993's now in my garage. I bought it from Rudy in 2012. Next to my '91 964 at the garage clubhouse.

Thanks for sharing your memories, it helps for those of us who did not know him to appreciate him even more.

Now that looks like a fun hobby.

Rudy helped me located my dreamcar. He was an amazing guy - never too busy to chat or let me swing by his storage unit. We lost one of the GOATs. RIP my friend.

What's very cool is to see my Zenith Blue 993 in all these Rudy pics! Bought it from him back in October 2018.
