Rip Rudy. Never met the guy but told my colleagues about this legend who had just about every Porsche 993 color. Then pointed them to Rennlist pictures and videos. May you rest in perfect peace. You brought our Porsche community a lot closer.

Man this one hit me hard. Rudy was such a great dude. We talked on IG about his 993 Turbo S mexico blue that he sold and I would kid him that he let the big one get away. He wanted that one back big time. I was close to seeing his collection when I visited Houston in 2018 but the timing didn't work out. Please, please, please my religious friends, go get vaccinated. God wants you here on earth doing good deeds. There's no rush to heaven.

For anyone in Socal that wants to remember and honor Rudy, there's a get together arranged by Rudy's friend Oscar Feria scheduled for the same time as the memorial. Meet up at Starbucks on Crossroads Pkwy and 60fwy (City of Industry) at 10am.

So many, many stories about Rudy doing good in the Porsche community. Here's the detail of one:
And yes, that's my 1st baby below wearing Opo's Twists.
RIP. Rudy, the loss was mine for not getting to know you better!!
- Got my 1st 993 (NB) from a long time PCA member in CA in 2012 which checked all boxes except it came w/ chromed Cup IIs. Nope, wheels themselves were fine but chromed on a 993, over my dead body.
- Didn't know squat about Porsche at the time, still don't know much, but knew enough that 993s were 'special'.
- Wanted a set of Turbo Twists, so started a request around the PCar circles including here on Rennlist.
- Opo replied and said he had one, and cautioned me to not simply take any Twists offered because NBs can't use those intended for WB's.
- OK, learned something off the bet.
- Showed me some pics of his garage, it was stacked 2 deep and up w/ 993s. That was before Rudy built his current car barn. I quizzed him how come he had so many, and would never forget his reply: "I collect 993s, I know, I'm sick...". LOL.
- Agreed on price, it was more than fair what he asked for.
- You can imagine me being a newbie meeting someone on a chatroom I just joined, and about to send hundreds of $$ to a virtual unknown, trying to ensure he wasn't some sort of a scam.
- Know what? Before I even started figuring out how to hand him the funds, he already sent me the UPS tracking number and said the wheels were on their way. And I could pay him at my convenience.
And yes, that's my 1st baby below wearing Opo's Twists.
RIP. Rudy, the loss was mine for not getting to know you better!!
