Default 993 ac fan

I have a 98 C2S and the AC works but the fan only runs slow and the the fan control doesn't change fan speed, appreciate any suggestions.

TIA, Jack

Hi Jack,
The low and high-speed fan speeds can be tested by removing the relay and jumpering the low and or the high-speed relay spade socket connections.
How to do it is described on this page:

Andy,

I think he means interior fan doesn't change speed with **** position. I think that's usually a ccu issue. Tore will know for sure or OP can check out his troubleshooting guide.

I guess this is an issue with the rear fan, if this does not work, the CCU will shut down the main cabin blowers.
set to minimum temperature, are the fans working OK then?
Test the rear fan as described here:

Cheers,
Tore

Still same slow speed regardless of the fan speed switch, now that I think about it I don't know which fan is running slow.

I just discovered that if I turn the temp **** all the way to blue dot the fan comes on maximum, and if turn it back then it's back to low volume air and fan control makes no difference

Did you recently remove your rear blower motor/assembly? It sounds like your rear blower is not working properly.
