Default Naive Soul Seeking Info & Advice - 993 RS Clubsport

Hi All,

Theoretically in the market for something raw & special and inevitably the 993 RS has become the apple of my eye. That said, it seems there's plenty of (mis)information out there an hoping to get a bit of a 101 lesson from this group. Also seeking advice on simply how to find a car! With so few built, and far fewer making it to the states thus-far, curious what the best course of action to source a car would be.

Definitely seeking a "driver" more than anything, as i A) dont want to spend 500k+ and B) want to enjoy the car, not just stare at it.

Not totally unfamiliar to the space as a family member has a 993 Turbo S, but i am more of a modern-car enthusiast and looking to change that!

Thanks for the intel!

Jonathan

TJS in Germany seems to touch the most. I'd start by contacting them.

Good book titled “911 RS Love” that is beautiful and detailed. Amazon about $130.

I’m located in norther California, and while I’d ideally find a car stateside, for the right car/miles/price I wouldn’t be against importing.

going to email TJS tomorrow and begin the hunt!

thanks for the tips thus far!

Don't think you can register any of these "special" cars that were never EPA/CARB approved for US in the state of CA unless they are older than 1975.

How very California of California. Woof - but have the ability to register elsewhere. Thanks for the intel!

Haha fair enough.

Anyone have thoughts / intel on market for a higher mileage car (~50k mi)? So few Clubsports that hard to get a read on it.

Also, i've been trying to reach TJS in Germany but no luck getting through by email/phone. Is anyone able to make an intro?

Many Thanks!

Too bad you missed out on Ilko's "clone".
96% of the car for 30% of the price.
Its in Northern CA, you may cross paths someday
