*HELP* Dropped A Micro Sim Card Between 993 Seats
Hope everyone is well and safe,
I was filming a Porsche Club of America event with my GoPro mounted onto the roof which ran out of storage so I replaced it with another micro sim card
and I placed the Micro Sim card with all the footage in the middle where the handbrake is,
It somehow fell and got in between the passenger seat and was seen in between for a few days but I can't seem to see it anymore, any suggestions on what I should do?
Thanks,

Well a magnet wont work right ...🙄
This is fiddly but easy if you know what I mean, tilt the seat:
- Slide seat all way back, this exposes two allen socket head bolts at the front, one in each slider rail.
- At this point you should read about chocolate seat rail bolt heads and ease of rounding the Allen socket. For various reasons I've had all these bolts out multiple times and had zero issues - but many other have not had same experience.
- Remove both front bolts.
- Slide seat all the way forwards and tilt the seat back all the way forwards, as tho you are climbing in the back.
- There are 2 bolts per rail at the back. 4 total.
- There are 3 sets of holes per side in the car floor. 6 total.
- Note if yours are coming out of the front 2 or rear 2 so u can replace in same holes.
- (when replacing the 6 bolts, I added a drop of loctite to each before reinstalling).
- Seat will now tilt either all the way back, or you can tilt away from the handbrake area, I've done both and with a 8-12" dowel or rod, you can prop the tilted seat while you dig around for the precious sd card. And clean out all the crap under there.
- I found this left by the PO, which made me smile, been a long time since concours condition lol.

I would try using a telescoping mirror, raise up the seat to its highest point, then look underneath the seat along the inner rails to see if you can even see it (move the seat back/forth to see if that helps uncover it). Once found, maybe try putting some putty on the end of a long screwdriver to see if you can get the sim to stick to it. Hopefully you can find it without having the remove the seat, but if you do have to remove it, make sure you get the right 6 mm hex bit with pin (see FOSYSB thread). I just did this yesterday and having the right tool makes a world of difference.

Reg,
Don't worry when the 993 was made there wasn't anything such as a SIM card so it won't find any sockets down there to inadvertently plug into and cause problems for the car.
It probably slid under the rail mount and is under the seat. If you can't find it here is how to remove a seat:

Also, what's a go Go-Pro?;-)

Good thinking just in case it slid under there! I will be sure to check, thanks again Andy!
Oh, and a GoPro is an action camera that I mounted on my roof and windows for the roadtrip!
