Agree on the 18s @stace, my ‘95 cab had 17” cups that were “chromed” when I bought the car. I lowered with PSS10 and RS wheel carriers and put on 18” NB hollow spoke twists and the steering rack brace.

Here are pics for OP with both 17’s and 18’s. I am probably going to switch it up again to real RS speedlines and sell the NB hollow twists.

This really comes down to personal preference. I have 17" Cup 2s and 18" 3-piece wheels which I change up based on mood. I really like the proportions and understated look of the 17" wheels. Advantages are that tires are cheap, they're light, and a bit more comfortable around town.

18s, especially 3-piece, have a bit more "wow" factor.

Ironic.... mine came with chromed 18 twists that leaked immediately as the chrome was delaminating. (I'll never own a chrome wheel again!). There are a lot of nice looking wheels to choose from and they such a personal choice!

I just want to say "Thanks" to everyone who responded. There were a lot of great thoughts, and certainly there is no right answer here. I'm still stuck with a bad case of paralysis by analysis, but it's just really nice to have a Porsche again and to get to agonize over these types of decisions. I think there is a general consensus that the 18" wheels look a little better, provide a bit more grip, and don't sacrifice too much in ride quality. I priced the Michelin's in both 17 and 18 sizes, and the cost isn't that much different. It comes down to if I really want the Fuchs or if I'd rather wait and see if I can't source something OEM. I will update when I pull the trigger on something!
