1996 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Coupe 2D
WP0AA2995TS321555

$135,000
120k miles...but claims an full rebuild at 115k...

"Extremely rare 1996 C4S 6-speed manual factory widebody coupe, with C4S spoiler, all matching and all original, with a factory Grand Prix white exterior. ONE major engine-out service AT 115k miles, which included a full engine rebuild, car runs, shifts, and drives amazing, the title is clean with only a few owners, LOTS of records, the car has very well cared for, clean/clear title in hand."

I am of the opinion that this is not all that far off the mark...might be about 10% over-priced...no sport seats, no motor sound...and based on pics the bolster will need to be redone (at a minimum)...but, if someone wants an Aero Kit, and the rebuild is legit, this is an interesting driver.
I believe this car is now sold, as the seller also listed on ebay. Can't tell if it sold at $95k or if the buyer pulled the car down and marked it sold.

Oh, and apparently I offended Tarek in defending the asking price in the Facebook thread.

Edit: not sold...back up and listed here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/15505583043...cAAOSwBw9irJMy

Edit part deux...and it's gone again...

And while I'm at it, here is the comp to that car:
WP0AA2991TS321360
https://www.classic.com/veh/1996-por...21360-Wjm8kln/

Last I saw, the ask from Garage Kept was $135k.

Not sure why you're mentioning my name- or bringing me into this conversation here on rennlist? You said the 185k mile c4s sold for $140,000 or something and i said i doubt that. (and obviously it hasn't) .but if you feel the need to run here and report that be my guest i guess.

Sorry I offended? Not intentional. No need to "run here". Read above, I put two and two together that you were the moderator of that page...didn't know that, and no, I am not an "expert" - that wasn't all that nice of a response, if you want to really get into it, but again, didn't mean to offend.

No, I said the 185k mile car ask is at $135k - that should be mocked, especially since it just sold on PCA.

The amount of mocking this listing received on the facebook page was over the top, and simply was defending the asking price (obviously not knowing the car or the seller, and taking it at face value). I feel that car is over priced by about 10-15%...but the comments made it seem like the ask was outrageous. I posted a pretty reasonable comp from Garage Kept - keep in consideration that car did not have a rebuild.

Not interested in an internet fight. You want to discuss further, more than happy to take it PM, and I can give you my cell. Thanks!

As they used to say when I was young; “people in hell can ask for ice water”. Doesn’t mean they will get it.

This one seems like it should have gone for substantially more. Clean 35k mile C4S for $132k. I think someone got a good buy unless I’m missing something?

What would a clean installation of a k40 radar detector do to the value of an otherwise near perfect and low mileage wide body 993?

seen as a plus

seen as a negative

not familiar with what is involved in the installation so unsure how invasive it is?

IMO, nothing if it is easily reversible with no drilling done during installation. I've removed far worse from highly desirable collector cars. Enjoy going fast in a slow car (by today's standards at least).

I have a discreetly installed K40. I don't think it does anything to value one way or the other for anything but an otherwise museum grade example.

Same here and as mentioned, it was installed correctly and carefully. I've seen some where holes are drilled in the instrument surround for the LEDs, that should be avoided. It should be 100% reversible without leaving damage. Even my laser jammers in the front bumper are carefully placed.
