Default Thoughts on this 993 cabrio?

https://www.jaguarsouthbay.com/used/...67550a34f4.htm

Test drove it today. Drives good.
They have over 15 years of service records.
I was amazed to see how much previous owner spent.

Receipt totaled well over 50k (fiftythousand)

Price seems high for 100k miles.

Your help is appreciated.

The car is described as "all wheel drive," yet the badge on the engine cover is " Carrera." If the car is "all wheel drive," the badge on the engine cover will identify the car as a "Carrera 4."
You need to clarify the inconsistency. The frunk fit doesn't look properly spaced. I have no idea what the red lens cover is in the center of the console.
A cursory look at the photographs reveals that the radio is not original to the car and the wheels are Chrome plated, also not original to the car.
Please post a photograph of the build sheet.
There are other features on the car that I would question, but I will leave it to other members to provide a thorough critique of the car.
Andy, PP00830: take a look at the position of the needle on the oil level gauge.

$50k over the lifetime of the car? That seems like a lot - there isn't any indication of mods here, other than the chrome wheels and I'm assuming an aftermarket alarm based on the console LED.

The oil is clearly overfilled. I'm assuming the dealer serviced it. Classic dealer special on that one.

Car looks like a driver. Similar mileage (92k miles) '95 Cab sold for $33k on BaT in June. This car is probably $10k over, but I do get the sense that the market has picked up lately. You will rarely get a great deal from a dealer - you will almost always pay the high end of fair market value.

That is not a C4 from everything I'm seeing. A C4 should have silver brake calipers and a silver insert on the shifter ****. It seems unlikely that the calipers were changed to black on a C4 so based on that I'd say you're looking at a rear wheel drive C2 and not an all wheel drive C4.

The oil level is definitely on the high side and I wondered if the oil pressure was reading a little low. Mine sits at 2 not 1 when warmed up and idling as this car is, maybe others have thoughts on that.
I can say that you may get similar cabs for a bit less but I'd be surprised if it's 10K over in price. It looks to be in decent shape and not too badly priced in my mind but I haven't been cab shopping in quite a while although I do try to watch what's going on in the market.

Agreed, except the car is advertised as an "all wheel drive" car.

Andy, aka PP00830,

Take a look at oil level gauge on the above referenced car. I'm sure your comments will be welcomed.

I agree that the above referenced car is a C 2. My concern is other misrepresentations.
The light appears to be the seatbelt light.

So maybe a malfunction?

The rear side body protection spats are not OEM. Additionally, the aftermarket body spats are black, not clear.

I drive my car so little I'm not 100% sure that it is the seatbelt warning light.
Give it a little time, and another member will clarify the light in the photograph.
Also, Andy, PP00830 will comment on your oil level light.

Believe that is the airbag light at 3:00 on the clock, not the seat belt light

For my knowledge, what is a body spat?
Thank you!

I would also be concerned, as referenced in my post #2, the frunk fit. The photograph seems to display an uneven fit?
