Makes you wonder, huh? The looks have increased since I scrapped the mufflers. Maybe, they're now thinking, "What a loud, noisy, stupid looking car!"
I guess folks either "get it" or ...
BTW, I also love the tail-less look for a widebody street car.

Kary,
I guess I didn't make myself clear. I definitely prefer the look of a tail-less 993 if it is a street-driven car; the exception is the RS tail, complete with splitters and rockers, which I feel looks fabulous and sexy. But for a pure track car, nobody can argue that proper tail/aero accoutrements wouldn't be an assset to the car's performance. I believe the original question was regarding the appearance, though I could be wrong.

No tail for me. I already feel somewhat like a poseur, driving a wide body with no TT motor in it.

i have had 993 S's w & w/o tails simultaniously,
and on my past 5 or 6 911's never had or wanted a tail.
however my current C4S came w/factory aerokit and i love it. i think on a wide body that the flat rear endlooks to low and wide.
the turbo S tail gives it a better shape i think, and the "S" front air dam ties in well w/the side skirts of the S cars also. now on a narrow car forget it, unless it is a RS w/matching tail
to me, the regular turbo tail leaves something to be desired next to the " turbo S" tail.
and if it has a tail, it should have come w/it and be on the factory window sticker.

Finally a rear spoiler discussion!
I do like the no-tail look on my C2 but as you all know there IS a spoiler coming up at around 70km/h and it looks soooo silly!
I'm getting either a new Gt2 or a evolution TT one, they're about the same price:
New GT2:
Evolution TT:
Please help me decide..
And one more question.. Why haven't I seen more 993's with the GT2 wing? I haven't seen any except that picture???
