I am looking to get my first Porsche (993 or 997) and I always somehow thought the 997 was so much bigger than the 993. But they are actually pretty comparable. Love all these photos. My brother has an S2000 and was surprised to see how close in size those were too.
The information below was quicky pulled from online, so I will not vouch for the absolute accuracy.
It would appear he 992 is significantly larger in all dimensions (except height) and heavier than the 993, which really isn't a surprise.
That's actually not as much difference as I would expect... 10 inches longer and 4.5 inches wider but same height and I don't think the weight is correct on the 992. I think it is around 3300-3400 lbs
