Question Winter Tires

My current winter tires, Bridgestone Blizzak LM-3?, are now 10 years old, and it is time to replace them. Unfortunately, Bridgestone and Michelin are no longer making 265/18 winter tires.
What else are people running for winter tires, and do you like them?
Thanks,
Joe

When Michelin no longer had the right size Arctic Alpin winter tires several years ago, I switched to Dunlops. I’m traveling now and don’t have access to information about the specific Dunlop model.

I’ve been happy with them. The winter tires are 17” but nearly identical in diameter to the 18” Pilot Sports.

Not the same size but I'm running Pirelli SottoZeros on my 944 and have found them to be excellent. Tried Vredestein not so good.

I'm currently running Pirelli SottoZeros on my '09 Boxster S after a number of years with no-longer-available-in the-right-sizes Michelin Pilot Alpins (I don't use my 991s in temperatures below 40). I found the Michelins more to my liking, but the Pirellis are perfectly fine and have done the job nicely. It is a challenge to find choices of winter tires for 911s and Boxsters. I assume that we all simply don't buy enough of them to make it worthwhile for Michelin et al. to make them.

Porsche Classic recommends the Pirelli SottoZero 3. Unfortunately, those were not available online in the right size when I searched last week. In fact, tire rack had no winter tires whatsoever for the rear axle. I ended up ordering Yokohama Iceguard IG52C, but still hesitant to have them put on. A friend recommended the All Season Michelin Pilot Sport AS/3, although that's not a winter tire, of course.

Are the Iceguards 18"?

BTW here is the English version of Porsche recommendations. The tire recommendations are usually outdated.

My rims are 17'', so are the Iceguards and that might also be the reason I can't find SottoZeros..
The link you posted points back to this thread.

Could you help me identify these wheels? Are those boxter wheels?

These are Boxster wheels.

When choosing winter tires... well, there are several very different winter tires. There's the "sport" stuff for cold weather and minimal snow. There's stuff for deeper snow, there's stuff for ice. Before even considering choosing the tire, I'd decide what your driving conditions are and what the tire will do.

As an aside, narrow is better for winter tires. You don't need 265 Like at all. 255 is fine.
