Default WTB 1995 993

I'm looking for a 1995 993, manual. I'm open to mileage, color, options - just needs to be a straight car with no accidents.

What is it about a '95 that has you looking specifically for that car? A couple years ago I was looking for a '97 or '98. A one owner polar silver '95 came up for sale with 17500 miles. It is nicely optioned with a full leather black interior. I have spent the last years and a half making the car as close to perfect as possible. It now has 20,000 miles and I am very happy I ended up with a '95. I must say even the basket handle has grown on me.

Shoot me a private message if you care to chat.

All years of 993 are good but I chose a '95 for that little bit of extra simplicity.

A few years ago my throttle cable was coming apart, RPMs were hanging and engine not dropping back to idle. Some strands of the cable were broken and "fraying".

Replacing it wasn't too hard but would have been a huge pain in the rear with the VarioRam in the way. I was glad I didn't have to mess with that.

Default 95 all the way

Closer to the analog air-cooled 911 experience.
No immobilizer, open your door with a key, geez, think of that

The nice thing about the '95 is the Steve Wong chip transforms and wakes up the car. Not sure if it makes *more* horsepower or torque, but it certainly makes the car much more alive immediately off idol all the way up the rev range. Dramatic difference. Throw on the Fister II exhaust and MY GOODNESS you have yourself a smile maker.

Any 993 is so simple compared to modern day car. Refreshingly simple.

Only early 95’s had no immobilizer. 95’s after around VIN 1453 (Coupes) and 1224 (Cabs), have immos.

1653 coupe without immobilizer here.

I assume I would know if I did have it!

Interesting. The VINs came from the Bentley's Manual. I had heard other references to the cutoff being "around 1500". Maybe it's more like "around 1700". .

Is this referring to this last 4 digits of the VIN? Mine ends in 1907 and it doesn’t have an immo. No keyless entry. Door jamb sticker says made in 09/1994.

Yup, last 4 digits. Must be metric numbers
