Does anyone know the weight of the RS cup rear spoiler? The one with two air inlet on the side. And what would the material be?

I am having a fibreglass one installed but it is surprisingly heavy? Anyone can provide info will be much appreciated.

Yes, the factory piece is heavy (fiberglass). If you're concerned about weight, I'd go with a carbon version from MA Shaw.

Getty Design sells the Cup rear spoiler, and one that looks almost identical but says that it saves 10 lbs over the cup spoiler. www.gettydesign.com

Thanks guys. I am just curious as I expected the wing to be about 10lb but it turns out to be nearing 16+lb? but later I found it this IS about the weight even for a genuine one. Correct me if I am wrong though.....
How much different between a fibreglass one and a Carbon one? I heard the weight difference is minimal only the stiffness of the carbon is the advantage?

I have the factory RSCS wing and it is very heavy. I did not weigh it when I got it but just picking it up I estimate closer to 20 lbs than 15lbs. The carbon fiber wings are significantly lighter but I do not know what the actual weight for them are.

I am trying to find out which web site I've got this info but it stated that a carbon club wing weight 5.9kg. I am now trying to figure out where to loose that 15 or 20lb. May be switching to carbon seat will help,,,, :-)

Ms shaw just give a reply regarding the weight of their wing. 20lb from them and suggested it is actually 30lb with a genuine club wing.

Another consideration is the weight of the wing rear hood combination on your stock rear hood struts, especially if they are originals. I have a OEM Aerokit 1b and I had to replace both shocks to keep the hood from sitting at the half open position when raised.

What about this wing from MA Shaw? I prefer it and it is available in CF. No idea about the weight though. If anyone knows, please share.

the one you are showing is the wing from 964 3.8RS. In CF it should be about 13lb. So you are looking at a similar weight of the Clubsport one.

Thanks for the weight information. Btw, MA Shaw calls it the "3.8RSR 993/911 3.8 RSR" so I assume it also fits a 993
