state farm insurance
I'm 32 and in San Jose, CA. 1 speeding ticket still in my record.
These are the full coverage quotes I'm getting for a '96 993 C4S:
I can't remember the exact limits (300/100/300?) with $500 deductibles
for comp and collision.
annual premiums
$1298 : as a secondary leisure vehicle
$2782 : if used as primary vehicle (with two cars)
$3598 : for a single vehicle
The second and third are ridiculous.
Just curious what you guys are paying and coverages you put on your cars.

Wow, that's crazy high!
I have State Farm and was quoted $1584 for a 96 993 C4 used
as a primary vehicle with two cars.
I'm 33 with no tickets in the DC area and that would be
with $250 deductibles.

When I moved to Calif. I was with State Farm but checked around (geico, etc.) and found that AAA beat everyone I had called by a long shot (so much so, that when I got the quote on the phone I didn't believe him, made the guy run me through the computer again, and then immediately drove to his office to get the paperwork signed)

As an aside, it should be noted that, while prices swing widely from company to company, coverages are different between carriers. For example some insurers limit coverage, when the car is driven by others (mechanic, valet, neighbor, etc.), to the state minimum of 15/30/5. For some the extra cost to fill this gap is worth the added premium.

CPB,
I pay about $1,140 per year with State Farm as a primary vehicle with unlimited mileage and a $1,000 deductible. We get some deductions for multiple cars, other policies (home/umbrella/etc).
We'll see if that lasts after the Kink accident, come time for renewal.

Now if you were in Massachusetts you'd find that a)most companies are too smart to do business here; and b) those that have the monopoly also charge state-set rates. No accidents, no points, see sig. for car, 1000 ded. @ $1028 as 3rd car. J
