Default I am going to call it the "Covid" clean

I have been bored out of my mind so I decided to work on the '95. First I installed Wallwood lower arm bushings, Shaw splitters, Fister short shift kit with golden rod, an entire new stereo system with Amp and hidden speakers in the orig door openings, new headlight bulbs, m030 sway bars and a Rothsport string rack brace. I also ordered the Griots Master cleaning kit. I always thought that Griots stuff was a waste of money for the extra expense over the normal automotive store products. Boy was I wrong, all of the Griots stuff is Magic, ill never go back!! Previously I had added the M030 euro springs and Koni shocks as well as the Elephant front strut brace.
Everything that I bought for this project went in seamlessly and is working flawlessly. I got so carried away waxing and detailing that I waxed under the hood and trunk lids, door jambs and hinges and cleaned the motor up. When I was done, I decided to do my boat as well. Now I don't want to take either outside as they might get dirty ;-) Needless to say I am extremely pleased with this last project and all the parts that I ordered withwith the help of the people on this forum.

@JB 911 they are “downriggers” we use them for salmon trolling. Essentially a 15lb lead cannonball hooks onto the riggers and you drop it to the depth you are fishing. Your line is clipped onto it and when you get a fish it releases, allowing you to fight the fish without any weight on your line.

@e9stibi @fatmike i just put on the griots leather care and they want 48 hours for it to soak in before wiping off. The car is relatively new to me and I don’t think that the seats have ever been conditioned or treated. I have previously tried luxall with little success, will your recommendation be better?

I am just a enthusiast (I have no real expertise or rooting interest). I think Leatherique is absolutely amazing (transformative) on these old Porsche seats.

It removes all of the dirt and age creases and leaves the leather soft. It takes off a decade of wear.

I can’t directly compare to Griots. Your already trying the Griots - If it’s not up to your standard try the leatherique!

Good luck.

Car looks fantastic. How many miles? Those seats look remarkably good for a 25 year old car. They don't usually hold up that well. The engine looks like new as well.

I have a low mile '95 and the drivers seat was worn more than I thought it should be for the milage. I did the Leatherique treatment and it made a huge improvement. I have the full leather dash and doors and I was hesitant to mess with it, but I think I'm going to do the entire interior tomorrow as it is supposed to be warm. I'll slather it up and sit it out in the sun lol.

@aircooledpurist mine has 28k on it. I have the leather dash and doors as well. I would love to see some photos of the Leatherique treatment!

Don’t worry about taking it outside, your ( or any black ) car will get amazingly dirty just sitting there.

I also have a black 993 and I don't think mine has ever looked this smooth and clean. I have 120k miles on it so my paint has seen more of the elements, but boy, a shiny black car sure looks good!

@993c4_Toronto thanks for the compliment although I may have a little advantage over you as mine is metallic black so it is probably a little easier to shine up.

I use colorplus for years and it is amazing. The product to condition is called surflex and it deeply penetrates the leather. I even used their paint to repaint the seats in my convertible and they came out great. I am sure that Leatherette is similar but I just had good success with coloplus.
