The instructions from Clewett say to use Red Locktite on the fan pulley and fan nut. What formula of Red Locktite are you guys using? I see 762,771,772, and 777.

Thanks,
Pete

I'm installing the "with AC" version of the Clewett kit and am a bit confused by this step:

"Align the pulleys with a straight edge on the outside face of the crank pulley. Align the fan pulley to the crank pulley with the included shims."

With the AC version of the crank pulley, it seems these are not going to line up. Am I missing something obvious? How have you all chosen the shims?

Yes, that can only apply to the ‘non-A/C’ version. I’ve installed 6 or7 Clewett setups, all with A/C, and have never used the shims.

I slide the fan housing as far back (towards bumper) as the locating pin will allow, then lightly snug the housing strap. Install the belt and eyeball it from a few angles to make sure it’s setup to run straight from pulley to pulley. If adjustment is needed, remove belt (so easy!), loosen strap, and jog fan housing a few mm.
