3/21 Malibu Drive to SB Confirmation
We had a GREAT drive this past Sunday. It was much longer than our other ones and we had some beautiful machines (they are all beautiful). We are still looking good for 3/21 to Santa Barbara.
Meeting at 7am in the Von's parking lot in Malibu (PCH/Sunset). I am sure we will meet the valley guys someplace along the way. If you can confirm so we can get a headcount to Phil. Thanks.
Confirmed so far:
Hamann7
fbfisher
Thusly
ontime
john velasco
phatbut
24fps
terry adams
eyal951
LeeR
seege
agent325
Phil McGrath
adsc4s
Those that were interested prior to our rain out:
TomC
Edward
ca993twin
stevarino
randy m 96 silver 993
dave mo
dan
temple
coleman
cyrun951

As alway, open to all makes and models. The pace is brisk at times but everyone is well within their abilities. Never has anyone been reckless or out of control.
I am only posting on the 993 and 993TT forums but feel free to pass around.
Look forward to seeing many Porsches!

Thought I would repost the route from the other thread:
Proposed route and estimated travel time:
Pacific Coast Hwy – Latigo Canyon Road (15 MINUTES)–
Latigo Canyon rd to Mulholland Hwy (15 minutes) -
Mulholland hwy to 23 (15 minutes) -
Hwy 23/westlake blvd to 101 (11 minutes) –
Moorpark hwy 23 @ Los Angeles Avenue (11 minutes) -
Fillmore via hwy 23/Grimes cyn (15 minutes) -
Santa Paula via 126 (10 minutes) -
Oaji via hwy 150 (30 minutes) -
hwy 101 @ Carpinteria via hwy 150 (30 minutes) -
Santa Barbara (15 minutes)
Stop at Phil's and then on to Cold Spring Tavern for BBQ lunch.
Looks like Casitas Pass Rd - Foothill - E Valley may be an alternate to the 101 into SB. Depending on time and interest.
If we leave PCH@Sunset at 7:30 we should arrive at Moorpark around 8:30. Hang out and stretch our legs for a bit and the off to Santa Barbara ETA with no further stops would be 10:45 a.m.
Total estimated time: 3:15, bet we do it in less

Well I wont be able to make this drive as we will be a little busy. Maybe I will get lucky and will be able to break free and meet the group for lunch.
I would stay clear of the Casitas Pass Road - Foothill - East Valley route as it goes through alot of residential areas and will be loaded with bikes by the time you get there.
Have fun and drive safe.
