Default Trunk/Frunk fender seam sealer different on each side?

Has anyone seen the seam sealer or seam caulking be different on the passenger side versus the driver’s side. One side is spread and the other side is applied like from a caulk gun with no smoothing, like cake icing trim. This is the seam up high, just in front of the struts. Paint looks the same on both sides, and seems factory otherwise.

Maybe Jürgen did one side and Klaus the other?

That’s what I’m thinking. Everything else seems fine and similar enough to be from factory.

I remember a post where someone mentioned their car was like that, but can’t find it again.

Yes, Jürgen Spatenmeister likes his sealer in nice neet rows. like a farmer,
where Klaus Messermeister likes to spread the sealant around like butter with a knife.

So, we’re in agreement, not an indication of repair?

Have you checked the car with a paint meter?

Probably was done by Rocco’s Auto Body after that incident with the train. Although I’m not partial to Arena Red I’ll take the car off your hands for a deep discount.

This one seems to not match in sealant from side to side in the same way. go figure?

I don't know about that first pic....I'm going to have to look at mine when it gets a little warmer.

Looking at that first picture again - looks funky and not like any trunk seams in my car. It does look after the fact.
