Another new 993 owner
Greetings, I'm Brian and just bought my first Porsche ('98 C2S) after spending about 10yrs on the sidelines as I watched the price on these things keep climbing.
I'm sure many will be familiar with this car via Instagram and perhaps even on here as well (can only assume Sam is a member here). It belonged to @thekosherstogie on IG. He posted it for sale on Thursday and by Saturday he had my deposit.
I should have it in about two weeks and cannot wait!!!! Had always planned to buy a mostly stock 993 and modify myself but this one is 90% how I want it so I took a short cut vs making it a full on project right out of the gate.
No stranger to wrenches/fabrication as a hobby (professionally, I'm an IT Security Engineering Manager in the financial industry). Have mostly dabbled in Harley's the last 5yrs (see pic attached; fabricated all custom parts; all motor/trans work, etc). Looking to get completely consumed in something new, so here I am.

Welcome to the club! The car has a great stance, and the wheels, turbo s scoops and clear corners are a nice touch. Prior owner knew what he was doing. Enjoy the ride! The Harley looks like a piece of art. Very nice!

Me too! But I believe I saw mention of some real estate things he's looking to do.
Thanks everyone! I'm still kind of numb/in shock. This all happened so fast. It hasn't fully set in yet that this is real!

- BBS E88's (18x8.5 ET48.5, 18x11 ET38) with Michelin Pilot Sports (don't know the sizes offhand)
- KW V3 suspension
- Fister III exhaust
- RS clutch and flywheel
- FD Goldenrod
- Euro bumpers with headlight washer delete
- Sunroof delete
- Alcantara headliner, dash, trim
- Recaro Sportster seats (Alcantara)
- RS door panels
- Rear seats delete
- Rear wiper delete
- Repaint in August of this year with full clear bra applied
Mods planned:
- un-delete the rear seat delete (yeah, yeah... but my kids will love riding in the back of this thing more than I care about the weight savings)
- perhaps re-work some things with the interior
- some additional suspension/performance goodies
Haven't given much thought to other things just yet. I had always wanted to do reverse mounted double step BBS LM's on a 993 but the E88's are growing on me. May end up keeping them but also kind of want to change things up a bit to "make it mine". Overall, I'd say my interests are a combination of show and go, not just one or the other.
Presently trying to read every damn 993 thread on Renns.
