Well, the car's on the way. Picked up a day early and on it's journey from CA to NJ.
Sidenote: the badge on the rear decklid isn't properly centered and I'll be fixing that. Looks like someone centered "Carrera" first and then put the "S" on instead of offsetting so the whole thing is centered. Was thinking about swapping it out anyway to read "911S".

Arrived from CA safe and sound on Saturday morning. We had some great driving weather provided by the Porsche gods this weekend! 65* temps in January in the NYC area, I'll take it!

Beautiful car. Love the BBS rims. I'm having my Cup II's refinished with some new tires, but I think once I'm done getting things in and out sorted I'm going to have to get a set of those rims. They just look so nice on the 993
Good luck!

That is a sick car. I've seen some of his IG stuff. Well done!
I saw you mentioned some period correct radio. I'm selling a OEM CR-1 Radio with a CDC-1 6 disc changer. PM me if you are interest.

Personally, I've been fantasizing of a 993 with BBS LM's (reverse mounted with double-step 3pc barrels) or RUF wheels.
I know they're heavier, not as elusive or expensive as $6000 E88's but it's just always been my vision. Don't get me wrong, I do like the E88's but part of me also wants to change something substantially on the car as opposed to keeping it exactly as purchased from someone else. But hey, those $250 Butzi center cap adapters and the $150 BBS center caps I just invested in may be enough to keep me content for awhile. I've also contemplated refinishing in black.
Too soon to decide.

I stated I knew they were heavier but boat anchors is a bit of a stretch. They're on par with with other cast wheels and no 993 is keeling over and dying.
Well aware that stock LM's are 2pc. I'm talking about 3pc conversion. Also, the weight savings in E88's come from the spoke design. Instead of the spokes being square cut like the LM's, the sides are machined (people refer to this as "scooped" out) to thin them out making them lighter.
