the inner seal of the windshield is esthetic only,
it is not glued
the windshield is glued on the metal frame
you must have your inner cabin liner cliped on the metal frame of the windshield, just under the glass from inside
the inner windshield rubber band clips on the metal also, over the clipped liner , covering it
you do not need to remove the windshield
start to the right of the VIN plate, do not cut your hand
As it sits in place a few centimeters, just slide your fingers on the rubber band top , and it sits all around , with the windshield metal frame lip inside it
it is not glued

I would suggest having a spray bottle of Isopropyl Alcohol diluted 50/50 with water to aid in slipping the edge in.
