Default New ecu and varioram law modification

Hi

i will install an ecu and ask my tuner to do the proper optimisations

as the varioram is managed by solenoids and rpm to open or close the resonance flag / pipe length

can i imagine they are ways to improve and get some free hp ?

like for a vtec when you start it earlier

perhaps having the tube to shorten at 5000 or 4500 rpm instead of 5200 can give good results ?

thanks for your feedbacks

I doubt there is anything to be gained unless other components are also changed, specifically the camshafts. In the UK there resides a wizard who can get around 15bhp usually by reprogramming the ecu on an otherwise standard engine but would you notice?. Reports say throttle response and flexibility is improved but in most cases improvements are found due to getting the Vram working as it should.

Thanks

i already have some mods and run 310 real hp

i ve seen the new ecu give nice possibilities to increase torque
same using modern ignition

just i never see a post or someone working to improve the varioram itself

Well

the schrick cams for hydrolic lifters
enlarged tb (double as it s a vr)
cargraphic 200 cell and exhaust

plus huge work on solenoids vacum lines etc to be sure it works

and for sure a live mapping with a good tuned shop (manage competition cars / half of their business)

i will look for the dyno if you want

initial was 270 from memory cause vr did not work at high rpm

It seems front my recent read the maf is also a limitation to increase hp
so a new ecu can solve this i think

Et voila! Ninemeister have used Motec ecu on their engines with good results.. I was able to have a ride in one of their modified cars, which gave a reputed 350bhp from 3.6L. using their heads and RS cams. It gave GT3s a shock. Don't know if it had Motec but is was tuned by "The Wizard" He has yet to wave his wand over my engine.

here is how to make more power with your after market ECU https://www.drivingline.com/articles/air-cooled-911-intake-revamp/ I'll be doing this this winter. I alread have coil on plug setup with AEM ECU. I'm just waiting to get it. It's on order so I'll let you know how good it is next spring here is where I got it from https://rasantproducts.com/engine-management/911-itb-individual-throttle-bodies/
