The AN3 to m6 adapter has two interfaces. The teflon tape is needed on the m6 side as there are not that many threads and a tapered end to give a nice seal with the slave cylinder like the m6 bleeder valve it replaces.

Initially, I did not use tape and the m6 interface leaked. I made the mistake of tightening it to stop the leak and the m6 side of the adapter sheared off and I had to get another adapter. Andreas @AOW162435 suggested teflon tape on the second go around and it worked perfectly. Finger/wrist tight like the m6 bleeder valve that it replaces as it is probably closer to a m3/m4 or less of a bolt since it is a machined hollow piece of metal and not a solid bolt.

Several folks have asked about the bracket I used, so here's a close up:

Made the bracket myself out of bent 1/8" Aluminum (6061 in my case which has to be heated in order to be bent). I'd recommend 5052 or similar if you're starting from scratch.

I ran the line through the engine tin with a grommet as opposed to around/above the engine bay cross brace so that I don't have to remove the fitting when I drop the engine.

Very impressive. I think you may have some buyers if you want to produce a few.

Did it leak subsequently or from the get-go? If my install doesn't leak now should I be watching for it later?

Leaked immediately. I didn't notice it until I cleaned up all of the fluids around the slave cylinder/transmission before buttoning everything up. May be a manufacturing/casting difference with my slave cylinder as the adapter itself is just a machined piece of metal.

I did not use teflon tape, went with a copper crush washer instead.

As the man falling from the eiffel tower says... So far so good.

So the washer seals against the slave cylinder body instead of the flange sealing?

I would be one of those potential buyers...
