Default Renewing my front seats

Am going to renew my seats. My wife has been wishing I would get lighter colored seats. Mine are rubicon grey in full leather. If I were to get some light grey or cream colored seats, I would have to change much more in the car (side panels, back seats, etc.) I would rather stick to rubicon grey. Any thoughts? I think cream colored interior is much more delicate and can get stained.

If you're going to the expense of renewing your seats, why not consider getting a new set of hardbacks from Valdemar with whatever custom touches you like (e.g. exterior color painted shell, embossed logos, heating, power, etc.)? Especially since you are in Europe, I'd personally go that route.

After 42+ years of marriage I understand the importance of a wife's opinion. However, I'd pass on her desire on this one. Too many interior pieces to change to make it work.

Makes replica sport seats in various colors and options. You can get hardback, softback, power, mechanical, etc. Here's a picture of them in my car. FWIW - Fairly easy install and I love them.

Yes,, I’ve been there. I was tired of the purply-classic grey. So I changed just the seats to a less purple looking grey. After driving around like that for 2 months, I decided that EVERYTHING needed to match, so I spent one summer a few years ago tearing the whole interior out, including the carpet, shipping the classic grey pieces to Rob Budd @ Classic 9 and Paul Champagne, laying down new carpet, and reinstalling sidepanels/dash/rear seats/reardeck/etc. once they were recovered with nicer grey leather. Check out the link in my signature.

Net Net - I would do it again, It is a lot of work but also oh so satisfying. If you do it, you will not regret it, and you will gain a better appreciation for how the car is put together. Redoing the interior yourself is up there on transmission regearing in terms of high-effort but super-high-reward.
