Rennlist has posted an article on five ways how to keep your 993 running for a long time. Top of the list, checking your antifreeze. “You likely will find the reservoir near the front of your car.” WTF? How to keep your 993 running a long time

Lol

They also recommend checking oil when the engine is cold.

And this little helpful tip..

“Going easy on the brakes and calmly driving will help extend the life of your ride. Don't worry if you occasionally accelerate quickly -- it likely won't affect anything. But do it too often and you increase your chances of wearing parts down and reduce your fuel economy by as much as 35%”

The authors point is that your car will last longer if you follow the manufacturers maintenance schedule.
For years, I have changed the oil based on pp000830 's instructions, specifically to excersize care not to overfill.
I am concerned because I have NEVER monitored my antifreeze concentration, nor have I ever changed my antifreeze.
There are many knowledgeable 993 owners on our site and not one has written any information regarding antifreeze.
My car is running fine.
Maybe another member can finally address the frequency, brand, capacity and detailed instructions on antifreeze.
Maybe there is a DIY on this specific maintenance procedure that admittedly, I have neglected.

Maybe he speaketh of the windshield washer reservoir? It has stuff in it so it won't freeze. Then again it is so large it seems it never needs filling.

My manservant Jeeves has been repeatedly told to check the antifreeze!!! Damn Him!!! My guess is that he has neglected to ensure that the hubris chamber is up to snuff.

i got black flagged for a coolant leak at the track last year....and they didn't mean oil. :-) ....so there must be antifreeze in there somewhere, I just cannot find it.
