I spend $45 per tire for my Michelin road bike tires. That’s 50% of one of your tires for your 170 mph capable 993. Why? I don’t want to crash at 30 mph and die when my $15 Chinese tire explodes nor do I want to crash and wipe out my friends.

Your logic of “it’s your car and your money” is valid only when you have the roads to yourself and no passengers. Otherwise you risk other’s lives in order to save a few bucks. You are wrong - hopefully you won’t end up dead wrong.

I've been working on cars, tracking them, helping friends with them, etc since I was a teenager and I've never heard nor read of a tire simply exploding because it was 90 F out. You're basically accusing OP of premeditated manslaughter because you don't like the tires he bought. Get ahold of yourself.
