Had the crap scared out of me...need leftside fog light
Hello all,
Had the crap scared out of me this morning. Started to drive the car a little more recently and was on the way home froms a Sams Club run and noticed an 18 wheeler ahead off the road on the right and then saw why. about half of his tire tread was in my lane and I barely had time to pucker and no where to go.. Hit it and knew that the front bumper cover had to be busted. I finally got the nerve to look and was amazed that the only damage was rubber under the bumper cover and the lens to my fog light was gone. I can't believe it. I've actually went out several times to check again thinking that I have overlooked something.
Wondering if anyone has an extra left side fog light they would be willing to sell.
TIA, Randy

Pucker factor had to be HIGH! my wife was driving my car a while back on the 710 FWY (which is notoriously bad as a lot of 18 wheelers are on that FWY coming out of the Port) and a metal object fell off a truck, bounced a feww times in front of her, and hit the car, instead of hitting a fender or the hood, it hit the left headlight. cracked the lense, and while that sucked, it was a simple lense replacement and done.
Have you thought about converting to S-ducts, or duct only? I guess it depends on your driving, but I rarely need fog lights, so I converted to ducts, which is more bout shedding weight than actual functionality. Just a suggestion, and may be easier to find. You may also wind up with a mismatch of fog lense looks (one nice and clean, and the other yellowish and foggy)

I have one, but it's missing the retaining spring to keep it closed

I still can't believe there wasn't any other damage. The fog light itself is fine, the lens just came off. Has anyone replaced just the lense? Found these on ebay.

If you don't want to go ducts, take the time to R&R the glass and paint the inside of the housing chrome silver. Simple job with lots of diy help here, looks great when you're done.
