Default Clewett Install Complete but Sensor Light is on

I just completed my Clewett serpentine belt install and now my belt sensor light is on. I was under the impression that removing the belt sensor would not trigger my sensor light. Is there something I'm missing here?

You may just need to jumper out the sensor. It's a simple on / off switch.

Best Wishes

Yup, a small wire or mini fuse to jump the terminals on the existing connector. Zip tie outa way and done!

I opened up the sensor and removed the connector (cut the wires). I then soldered the pigtails together and heatshrunk the whole thing, plugs back in and fixes the warning light.

Great idea, I would have expected Clewett to have supplied the jumper plug or at least mentioned it in the documentation

Since nobody mentioned it yet, you’ll need to make a simple jumper for the sensor plug.
