I currently have the 18" hollowspoke twists, but can't seem to shake my first love of the FM10s. Any photos of a black car with those wheels would be appreciated...if it's a lowered, narrowbody, with 18"s, that would be even better!

Allen,
I don't have any photos, but if you love the FM-10's, just do it! I have yet to see them on a 993 where they didn't look beautiful. Black would be a great contrast to the silver mesh.
If you need more convincing, check out the club races or DE's at Barber Motorsports Park (if they are still running events at this time of year) and shoot some photos of dark colored cars with FM-10's.

Several years ago I was visiting my family in L.A. While entering the freeway I noticed a black car in my rearview mirror.
When it came aside of me I was wow'd at this gorgeous black 993 with fab Fikses. To this day that image is burned in my mind.
Allen - BUY IT! I used to know of someone selling a set for 2000 with tires.

Hi All,
Yea that 88 was nice. Power haus 3.6, Motec, twin plug, Garrettson IC, Garret ball bearing turbo, 10X18 & 12&18 Fikse's, 5 speed, drilled torsion bars. But it was a bitch to drive. Had a 930S steering wheel. Hauling it around twisties really wore me out. I have arthritis in my right shoulder and found the car too much without steering assistance with the 10" wide front wheels. Car was extreeeeemly quick. Got mid 30s for it and did sell it to finance my 993. I'm not sorry at all. Love the 993, goes like stink, air blows ice and my wife (heaven forbid) could even drive it. She drove my other 88 turbo and liked it. Got behind the wheel of the silver one and quit after one block. Hasn't driven the 993 yet, but I will let her one of these days. This car I plan to keep for a while as it only has 15k miles and is very clean. I have lots of pics of the 88 if anyone wants to look.

Hi Phatbut (Damon) Got mis 30s for the 88, when all was said and done selling extrra parts, etc, 36K. 98 is not for sale unless I'm made an offer I cannot refuse. My 88 is not a true TT but in my eyes, it's worth at least as much with the low miles, only 3K on engine, PSS-9s, hollow spokes, cargraphic cooler, Turbo S scoops and lights, all receipts and records. Just had the 15k service where I had the oil cooler installed and the scoops installed.

They're very light compared to the factory wheels, but also a little fragile for use on pot-holed roads.
The weights compare as follows:
_Porsche Factory Wheels_
8x18 ET52 (Front)
993.362.136.00 (hollow spoke) - 19.95 lb
993.362.136.01 - 25.57 lb
10x18 ET65 (R-Narrow)
993.362.140.01 (hollow spoke) - 23.36 lb
993.362.140.04 - 29.32 lb
10x18 ET40 (R-Wide)
993.362.140.00 - 25.13 lb
993.362.140.03 - 31.08 lb
993 Cup Wheels
7x17 19.07 lb
9x17 22.26 lb
_Fikse Wheels_
9x18 ET50.8 (Front) 19.95 lb
10.5x18 ET57.3(?) (Rear-Narrow) 20.9 lb
